Are you tired of the algorithm dictating every moment of your life? Do you miss the days when you’d chance upon a dusty paperback left behind in a vacation rental and lose yourself for hours in a story you never planned to read?

We want you to invite serendipity back into your life and choose a book that might not necessarily be on that Summer bestseller list this year by perusing our shelves and stumbling upon something great, weird, or both. OR you can go to a local bookstore like Porter Square Books or Narrative and ask a bookseller for a recommendation!

Then we’ll all sit and read together. No checking emails or texts. Just distraction-free reading with a little time built in at the end for anyone who wants to talk about what they read!

Mushroom Medicine Demystified with Alex Klein

If you haven’t already noticed, mushroom medicine is in. But what is the deal with these alternative coffee beverages and “dual extracts?” Why does Bill Hader drink a cup of chaga tea every day? This class will attempt to demystify all the marketing around fungal products and teach you how to make your own. We will discuss how different mushrooms affect the immune system, nervous system, and gastrointestinal tract, as well as practical, potent, and maybe delicious means of taking them. We’ll go over the process of dual extraction and share some harvest tips and techniques for the aspiring wildcrafter.

Somatic Chair Yoga with Caitlin Rose

his all-levels class combines the support of chair-based yoga with somatic movement to help you reconnect with your body, release stress, and move with greater ease. Through mindful movement, breath awareness, and simple grounding exercises, you’ll gently improve flexibility, posture, and balance – all while seated or using a chair for support.
